Bouquet alternatives

October 6, 2011

A friend of mine recently asked what alternatives there were to floral bouquets and suggested I write a post on it. Seriously, what would you do without friends?! You can’t always come up with good ideas on your own! Here’s what I found…

Brooches via Love & Lavender and Paper flowers via Etsy
Lanterns via Girly Wedding
Parasols via Glamour & Grace
Pinwheels via Love & Lavender

I really love these last three options. They’re not as alternative as parasols and pinwheels but they’re affordable, simple, and beautiful.

Wheat via Love & Lavender and Lavender via The Bride’s Cafe

The good news is there are plenty of alternatives to choose from. So if you’re not all that into flowers, or if you or anyone in your wedding party is severely allergic, then no need to fret! That just means it’s time to get creative! And I’m sure there are many more options out there. You could even incorporate your theme. Say you’re getting married in a library–carry books! Or cotton candy for a carnival-theme! All it takes is a little imagination.

Do YOU have a suggestion for a post? Leave a comment or get in touch! Your input is always appreciated. 🙂

I LOVE the wheat! Similar to brooches, a friend of mine had button bouquets in her wedding. She used a custom-designer from etsy.
